How to Convince Your Parents to Let You Be Home schooled

Going to school is something almost every child enjoys. However, there does come a point in every other child’s life, when they realize that things just aren’t working out for them at school.

This is because they might not be fitting in at school, or they could be facing some sort of a problem in their school environment. Instead of dealing with these problems, they chose to actually go on and try and get home schooled instead.

Most parents would not normally agree to this, because they generally feel that going to school is crucial for just about every child and it is something that they should be doing.

Nonetheless, if you really try hard you can pursue a life of seclusion, as you opt be home schooled instead of going to regular school.

    Talk to parents

    The first thing you need to do is to talk to them. This is the most basic and easiest way to go  on and get to know how your parents feel about the whole thing. There is a very small possibility, but one that does exist, which may see them actually come to terms with the idea and let you study at home instead.

    As the saying goes, there is no harm in trying.

    Fake injuries

    Now if talking to your parents doesn’t work, the next best thing to do is to fake it. You need to come home from regular school every day, faking some injuries. Now these injuries don’t have to be of any specific kind, but as long as you fake them right, you can convince your parents.

    They will get the impression that something is wrong and when they follow up on it, you can simply tell them that you don’t want to talk about it, but would like to be home schooled.

    This will rub them emotionally and they might agree to let you stay home.

    Pretend like you are a special needs child

    The last thing you can do, is to pretend that you are a special needs child. This is going to take a lot of effort and dedication from you, so make sure you are willing to go through with it.

    It may take a while but your teachers will eventually contact your parents and recommend putting you in a special school. Once this happens convince your parents it would be better to be home schooled since you can’t live through the trauma of going to a special needs school.
