How to Deal With Unethical Behaviors
All of us come across strangers, public figures, friends and colleagues who choose to behave unethically in certain instances. Those matters maybe professional or personal, but if you are put off by unethical behavior, your relations with those people are bound to suffer.
Most of us decide to turn the other way and ignore such incidents. However, if you are in a position where you have to deal with unethical behavior in a personal or professional capacity, you will need to draw the line somewhere and stand up for your principals.

Make a code of conduct
If you are running an organization and you want to ensure there is no unethical behaviour in your company, you must make a proper code of conduct and strict actions should be taken against the workers who break laws. The policies that you make about the office decorum and discipline must be vigorously implemented and should not become mere documents.
An unwritten code of conduct should also be there at home and everybody must be aware of the consequences of behaving in an unethical manner. -

Be ethical yourself
Be professional and uphold ethics yourself. Make sure your behavior is exemplary and inspires others as well. Try not to associate with people who are known for unethical behavior and condone it.
Remain honest in your dealings, both professional and personal, and do justice with your responsibilities. If you yourself behave ethically, you will be in a better position to deal with others who do not. -

Be tolerant
Patience is one of the greatest virtues. An emotional reaction will only worsen the situation further. Do not be impulsive and think clearly before you take any steps against someone who has behaved unethically. -

Talk to the people
Talk to people who behave unethically, and try to understand their reasons for doing so. While it is no excuse, someone's hand may truly be forced. You need to try and help those who deserve sympathy but be strict with habitual offenders who deliberately behave unethically.
