How to Burn DVDs with Alcohol 120

Burning data to DVD is part of the routine for people who are involved in photography or videography business. The storage medium is also a very useful marketing tool, thus making it an attractive choice for the people. Burning data to a DVD is not a very complicated task, but Alcohol 120% Image Burning Wizard has made the process even simpler.

    The first thing you need to do is to download and install Alcohol 120% on your computer. You can easily get the programme off the Internet. If you do not have an Internet connection, visit your nearest computer shop and purchase it from there.

    After installing Alcohol 120% on your system, double-click the programme icon on the desktop to launch it.

    Once the programme is launched, locate and click “Image Burning Wizard.” You will find it on the main panel.

    Now click the “Browse” button and then select the DVD image that you want to burn. The file will typically have an “.ISO” format, though there are other image file formats as well such as “.MDS.” Once you have selected the file, click “Open” and then wait for just a second or two as Alcohol 120% confirms if the file you have selected is indeed a disc image file. Click “Next” once the programme is done with the confirmation to proceed further.

    Check the “DVD/CD Recorder” panel to see if your DVD burner is selected. If you just have one DVD burner connected to your computer, then it will be selected automatically. However, if more than once write-capable devices are installed on your system, then you will need to manually select the correct DVD burning device.

    You will be prompted to select the write speed for the device from the “Write Speed” menu. While the maximum write speed will be selected by default, you may want to lower the write speed to an extent for quality purposes, of if the DVD image file that you are burning is located on a relatively slow storage device.

    Specify the number of copies of the DVD image file that you wish to burn by entering the number in the “Number of Copies” box. By default, number of copies will be specified to one.

    Locate the “Datatype” menu and select “Normal DVD” from there.

    Open your DVD burning device and insert a blank writable DVD in it. Close the tray.

    Start the burning process by clicking the “Start” button. In case of burning more than one copy, the DVD burner tray will eject automatically after completion and the process will resume after you have inserted another writable DVD into the DVD burner.
