How to Make Garlic Infused Cooking Oil

We all know that garlic is very good for our health especially it plays an important role in the well-being of our immune system and our heart. Apart from other benefits it is also used in improving the aroma and taste of the food we eat. But have you ever thought of infusing your cooking oil with garlic? Many people go a little experimental with their cooking oil and infuse it with varied flavours. And most of all garlic is one such ingredient that is most often used for such sorts of infusions. Since garlic is often used to intensify food so when it is infused with cooking oil it not only improves its nutritive value but it also makes the food even more richer in flavour.

And the method of preparing garlic infused cooking oil is quite simple.  The only ingredients you need to prepare this infusion are garlic and cooking oil. Simple isn’t it? This means convenience along with savings in terms of money.  So let’s begin making it.

Yield: 2 to 3 servings
Utensils: Sealable Bottle, Frying pan, Cooking Funnel

Ingredients :
Garlic cloves (finally peeled and sliced)
Cooking Oil (The one that you usually use at home)

Instructions

    Firstly roast the garlic properly and set it aside.

    Then heat the oil in the pan for about 2 to 3 minutes on low heat. Make sure that the oil is warm enough that you can easily touch it with your finger without getting burned.

    Add the roasted garlic in this oil and fry till 4 minutes and then turn the burner off and let it cool.

    Finally, with the help of a cooking funnel, add the garlic infused oil into the bottle and then seal it tightly. Afterwards, store it in a cool and dry place for no less than 24 hours. This is very important since the longer you store it the more stronger it gets in flavour.
