How to Make Aloe Vera Lip Balm
Lip balms have made a permanent place for themselves in our dressing mirrors and bags. They nourish and protect our lips and are quite convenient to use with packaging in tubes, small jars and cylinders. They also come in a great taste variety, so a chocolate or strawberry lover can always get a lip balm of their own favorite flavor. Lip balms are easily available commercially under different brand names. However as well know and admit, natural is always better and healthier. Why buy when you can make your balm at home using natural products and be sure of the ingredients used. It is also cheaper to make it yourself and you can make a lot at one time. The balm that you make can be as good or even better than the one you can buy. The lip balm here makes use of the amazing properties of Aloe Vera; a herb known for its skin nourishment.
Things you need:
– Double boiler
– 1/3 cup beeswax pellets
– 1/3 cup safflower oil
– 1 tbsp. sweet almond oil
– 1 tbsp. grape seed oil
– 2 tbsp. Aloe Vera concentrate

Pour the beeswax pellets, sweet almond oil, safflower oil, and grape seed oil into a boiler according to the measurements given above. Turn on the heat to a low setting. Beeswax is always heated slowly for best results. Melting on high heat can turn it into a disaster and so can using a microwave . Keep stirring the mixture while heating.

Ready the containers before you start the boiler. These should be containers of old lip balms that you used. Take both small and large containers. You can place the small ones for travel in your bag and the large ones at home. Wash the containers well and dry them. Now pour the lip balm into them neatly. Let the lip balm cool down and set in a firm shape before you cap up the containers. They also make excellent gifts because anything that you make from your own hands and using your skill is special.
