How to Turn an Afro into Straight Hair

    You have to shampoo your hair first before proceeding. Choosing the right type of shampoo is a vital part of the process and you have to look out for the ingredients of every shampoo you purchase from the market. Never by a shampoo containing Simethicone and Dimethicone, as these two compounds are well known for making Afro hair dry and rough.

    Rinse your hair properly and apply the shampoo you chose for your type of hair. Scrub your hair thoroughly with your fingers and make sure you have properly cleaned up your entire hair and head scalp.

    Towel dry your hair. When still moist, apply the hair conditioner of your choice to your entire hair and wear a cap. This will help the conditioner to penetrate deep into the shaft. Wait for at least 15 minutes and then rinse your hair to remove the conditioner.

    Now you will need a good quality aloe vera lotion for your cleaned hair. Apply the lotion to your hair and start combing them. Apply a decent quantity of aloe vera lotion because Afro hair are very thick and will require more lotion to become soft. Apply the lotion to your hands and scrub it onto your head thoroughly. Keep combing until your hair become sleek and tangle-free.
