How to Build Indoor Slinky Steps
The slinky toy has entertained both children and adults for many decades. A slinky is designed in a way that it can bounce between two hands and can also be made to walk down the stairs. Watching the self pushed action of the giant coiled spring is great fun for both kids and adults. Although any set of stairs works well with a slinky, you should consider making funny and usual steps. So if you like watching your slinky do some crazy things then it is recommended that you learn how to build indoor slinky steps.

Consider teaching the youngsters to count by stepping up a number of steps. Ask them to count each step as the slinky descends. Use children’s toys such blocks and toy boxes. Start with one or two and continue adding steps as they learn their numbers.

It is advised to save boxes of different shapes and sizes. Let the kids do the decoration for you. Ask them to decorate the boxes to form their slinky stores. Always put the heavier and bigger box on the bottom. Small boxes, on the other hand, should be placed on the top. This will help maintain the balance of the boxes. Make sure that you do not have to put anything in the box to weight them down.

You may use furniture to set up slinky stairs that start from one room and ends at another. Find a chair and put something stiff such a board or magazine on the seat to give it a good bouncy surface. Now begin on a book shelf and move the chair close to it.

Now find a table in your house and move it near to the chair. Consider allowing the slinky step off to a lower table. Use books or chests to give the slinky its final steps.

Pile heavy blocks of cement and wood as high as you like as you begin a slinky trail. It is recommended to set up piles of the blocks in different directions so the toy could be directed to its final destination. You will also have to ensure that there is a guide wall or block pushing the slinky in varying directions. Every new step placed should be at least one feet lower from the higher step.
