How to Make Bishop’s Bread
The creation of this recipe is halfway between a cake and a loaf of bread. The bishop’s bread is soft and luxuriant enough to be termed a cake. The smell of it baking is strong enough to arouse everyone from bed in the morning with hopes of a slice. And the incentive of getting bishop bread as a dessert is compelling enough for the children to finish all their vegetables. It is that appealing of a treat. It looks rich and it tastes richer. The bread can also be given as a gift to friends and family because it can be stored for long. With additions of walnuts, cherries, raisins, and chips, who can doubt its taste.

Take another large mixing bowl and add to it the flour, soda, and salt according to the measurements in the ingredients. Stir these together well. Now add the walnuts, cherries, raisins, and chips. Pour the batter in the pan and place in the oven. Bake the bread for an hour. Check if baked by inserting a toothpick in the middle when the bread starts browning. If the toothpick comes out clean and easy. the cake is baked. Let it cool in the pan for at least ten minutes and then transfer to the cooling rack.
