Each Christmas season, elegant holiday lights adorn several quarters and historical sites in Paris, Breathing life into the town in November. In 2011 several spots around Paris are beautifully lit up.

Paris Christmas Markets
An old Paris Christmas tradition that originated in the north Alsace region is the decoration of the Christmas markets all over .it is created to be like an outdoor village made of wooden booths offering gourmet treats like mulled wine and gingerbread, decoration, gifts and other delights as well.

Open-Air Ice Skating
Skating in the open frozen ice rinks on Christmas is fun for the whole family skating rinks are set up all around Paris with Free Entry and just a 5 Euro rental for the skates the best thing your kids get the skates for free. A separate skating and sledding area is available for little children at the Hotel ville rink.
Hotel de Ville (Metro Hotel de Ville): from December 17th, 2010 through February 27th, 2011. Mon.-Fri: 12pm-10pm; Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays: 9am-10pm.
Eiffel Tower Ice rink: from mid-December 2010 through the end of January 2011. Eiffel Tower, metro Trocadero or Bir Hakeim.
