How to Keep a Blunt from Canoeing
Blunt canoeing occurs when the blunt that you are smoking gets over heated from one side, or the other. This makes the blunt burn faster from one side, making the whole blunt seem rather pointless and wasteful.
This is a common mistake that occurs when people are lighting their blunts, but once it has happened, it tends to cause a lot of problems.
What most people don’t realize, is the fact that you can easily remedy this situation, if you haven’t taken care of it from the start.
However, you need to be extra careful, or you could end up wasting your entire blunt.

1
Light evenly
The first thing you need to do, is to light the blunt evenly. This is one of the smartest ways to go about things. When lighting the blunt, evenly role it out, and blow on it. This is going to get it to absorb the heat evenly and then help it light up properly.
Taking this basic but precautionary step is going to help you out a great deal in the long run, which is why you should strongly pay attention before you light it up, instead of wasting it later on. -
2
Point unburned side up
Now, should you have accidentally have gone on to forget to light it up evenly, there is always another thing that you can do, in order to light it up evenly and avoid the canoeing effect.
With the blunt now lit up, what you need to do is focus on the area that is lagging behind. This lagging area should be pointed upwards when you are smoking the blunt.
This is going to make the heat from the lit part and divide it evenly to the unlit part. Now this might seem like a little hard to do at first, but once you do it a few times, you will be able to get it to light up easily. -
3
Burn lagging area
If you don’t feel like putting in a lot of effort on to lighting your blunt, and you are good to go with just wasting some of it, a very basic thing for you to do is to just burn off the area that is lagging behind.
This is a very basic thing to do and you shouldn’t have too much of an issue in doing so. Just be careful not to over burn the whole thing.
