How to Get a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) Card in Ottawa

The High Commission of India, in order to better serve their clients has elected to outsource several of their services to VFN International. These services include the application processes for Visas, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) cards.

The PIO card, valid for 15 years, is allowed for anyone who was born in India (or had their parents, grandparents or great grandparents permanently reside in India) as long as none of those individuals was at any time a citizen of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Nepal, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka. In order to be eligible, you must be of Indian origin.

The OCI card allows anyone who was born in India (or their parents or grandparents) to gain entry into India for any length of time without the need to register for a visa, acting essentially as a lifelong visa.

Step by Step Guides for applying for Tourist Visas, and OCI Cards can be accessed below.
