    Visa Exempted Countries:

    The Canadian Passport holders do not need visa to apply for entry and stay in Panama for up to six months. However, they should present valid passport with at least three months to expiry date. Besides this, the nationals of many countries do not need visa. These countries include almost all countries from North and South America, European Union, Oceania, South Afria, Middle East and East Asia.


    The Nationals of all other countries need visa to enter Panama.

    First of all get visa application form, either from the consular section of the Embassy of its official website. Download Visa Application Form.

    Visa Requirements


    After filling up the application form attached the following documents with it:


    a)      Valid passport with at least six months to expiry date,
    b)      Two passport sized photographs in light colour background,
    c)       Copy of the main pages of passport,
    d)      Bank statement,
    e)      Copy of your travel itinerary,
    f)       Visa Fee,
    g)      Prepaid, self-addressed, stamped return envelope if you send your application by post.

    Visa Fee

    Visa fee varies for single, double and multiple entry visas and should be paid by Money Order made payable to the name of the “Embassy of Panama – Consular Section”.

    Submission of Application

    You can submit your application in person or by post, In case of in-person application submission; you need to visit the Consular section of the embassy between working hours that is from 09:00 to 14:00 from Monday through Friday. If you want to submit your application by post, you should use registered mail service and also accompany prepaid, self-addressed, stamped return envelope to receive your visa back.

    Processing Time and Collection of Visa


    Your application will take up to three working days after receipt. You will be issued visa on approval of your documents and requirements. After your visa is issued, you can collect it from the Consular Section of Embassy. You should call the Consular Section before making personal visit to avoid inconvenience. If you submit your application through post, your visa will be sent back to you by post. You should wait for at least one week.
