How to Block Inappropriate Websites

On the Internet, you can find a lot of useful information. However, some information on the page contains inappropriate images and links which can lead dangerous sites and can spoil your children.

There are many ways to block websites to get rid of considerable number of malicious sites stuffed with virus and bugs. Some of them help ordinary users to protect themselves from spam resources while others allow parents to block harmful content from their children.

Not all on-line resources are equally useful and safe, especially for children, so denying access is a very useful function.

    To block access to undesirable sites from the web browser Internet Explorer, go to its menu "Tools" and select "Internet Options." Open the serial tab "Privacy" and click "Sites". Enter the address of the selected sites to block and click "Block." Confirm with «OK».

Open the "Tools" and "Extensions" in Siteblock by clicking "Settings". List the names of the unwanted web content and press “Save” option.

    If you want to block access to unwanted websites from all your installed web browsers, go to "Start" menu and follow the steps in sequence: "All Programs" - "Accessories" - "Command Prompt”. In the DOS command line enter «notepad C:/ Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts». Using Notepad, locate the line «127.0.0.1 localhost». Change it by writing names of unwanted sites instead of «localhost».
