Grilled chicken breasts are sizzling pieces of good food that bring ultimate joy to our plates. They can be enjoyed on their own and as a side dish to a grand meal. Grilled meat is also considered a healthy option because it has lower fat than fried ones and the energy content is not lost during the cooking process. It is very easy to make these delicious breasts and they are ready within an hour.
Ingredients
- Chicken breast halves - 4
- Coarse salt and ground pepper
- Barbecue Sauce - ⅓ cup
Instructions
- Put the breast halves in a mixing bowl and wash them well with cold water in the sink. Remove any extra fat that you do not want.
- If you have whole chicken breasts, use a knife to halve them so that they are cooked easily. Pat the chicken breasts lightly with a clean towel to wipe excess water.
- Pour barbecue sauce over the chicken breasts and coat them well with it. Barbecue sauces are commonly available in grocery stores.
- Just select the brand you are comfortable with. Most sauces also come with their cooking instructions.
- Coat all parts of the breasts generously with the sauce. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Use freshly ground pepper if possible as it has its own amazing aroma.
- You can also place cuts in the chicken skin to help the sauce penetrate the flesh and enhance the taste.
- While doing all this, preheat the grill so that it is warm to receive the chicken.
- Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook until the bottom sides turn a brownish shade.
- Flip over and cook the other side as well.
- Place a neat cut across the chicken to check if it is cooked well.
- If it is cooked, you are done here. If it is not, return the breasts to the grill and cook for another ten minutes.
