How to Prevent Diver’s Ear
Diving is an Olympic sport but limited to few countries only. It primarily involves a diver to stand at a particular height and then jump and make his way into the water while performing energetic moves. It is one of the much anticipated Olympic events and the amount of technicality and complexity involved in the sport is very high. Diving includes two types of events, springboard and platform. Not to mention, jumping from a particular height often raises the concern of protecting diver’s ears as an individual can experience severe damage if not done properly.

Work on improving your angle
Diving is a very complicated sport and you have to work too hard to improve yourself. The most important thing in diving is the angle of the diver. Note that, if your diving angle is not accurate then you can suffer damages while entering the water from a particular height. If you ever had experience of diving from the pool deck, you will notice that if your angle is not accurate, the pool water will splash hardly on your body. Now imagine, someone diving from a height of 1m, 3m or 10m. -

Jump in the right direction
In order to prevent your ears from getting damage, you must make sure that you have jumped straight. If you jump in the wrong direction that is slightly tilted towards left or right, you are more likely to suffer from the high water pressure at the time of entering the pool. Therefore, it is of pivotal importance that you jump straight and enter the water as smoothly as possible. -

Proper position
Standing in a proper position before diving into the water also helps you in protecting your ears from getting damaged. In order to improve your position, your coach will be the best guidance but you can also take advice from your experienced teammates. You should not feel shy while seeking help from your team-members as they can be a very good and quick source of learning, thus you must ask any of them whenever you feel like taking help. -

Your body must be straight at the time of entrance
It is important that your body should be straight while entering the water as this will help you in entering the water efficiently. -

Do not stay in deep for long
Staying in deep water for long causes immense pressure on your ears, so you should try to come to the surface as quickly as possible.
