Making sorbet is not as hard as some of you may think. By following the right procedure and being patient, you can easily make sorbet from scratch. Essentially, sorbet is a fruit squash that is very similar to sherbet. The only difference between sherbet and sorbet is that the sorbet does not use eggs or milk. Sorbet is typically made in an ice cream maker.
Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ½ cups frozen fruit
Instructions
  1. Firstly, consider combining the sugar and water into a small steel container. Put the pot on a stove and bring it to a boil. Make sure when dealing with a burning stove to avoid burning your skin.
  2. When you see the water boiling, consider reducing the heat to medium. Use a wooden spoon to stir the mixture. Continue stirring until the water mixture starts to boil again. Before turning off the stove make sure the mixture is thick. The texture of the mixture should be smooth for enhanced taste.
  3. Next, add the syrup into a plastic bottle with a cap. Put the syrup container into the refrigerator until it is cold. Now get your blender and consider adding the frozen yogurt into it.
  4. If you are using frozen fruit yogurt, consider cutting it into small slices before inserting it into the mixer. Frozen yogurt can also be purchased from your local grocery store.
  5. Now pour the sugar syrup into the frozen yogurt. Mix it thoroughly until it becomes a thick paste. The final mixture should be consistent and as thick as a fruit shake or smoothie. Finally, consider adding the puree into the sealed container.
  6. Use a clean piece of clothes to clean your hands and then place your sorbet into the freezer for a couple of hours. Take out your sorbet when it is completely thick and ice cold. Serve it to your guests and enjoy some quality time.
