Microsoft Confirms It Won’t Make Its Own Smartphone

When Microsoft decided to jump into the hardware space with the recent release of their surface tablet PC, the next logical question comes to mind that the tech giant will do the same for Smartphones as well. According to a senior representative from Microsoft, the company had no such plans for it.

Windows Phone senior marketing manager Greg Sullivan said, “We have a strong ecosystem of partners that we are very satisfied with.”

He was actually referring to HTC, Samsung, Huawei and Nokia while suggesting that the company just don’t want to indulge itself into phone hardware manufacturing because of that ecosystem.

Things are not that easy in the mobile realm, as numbers of companies are continuously rolling out new products almost every day, and Microsoft knows it has plenty of lost ground to make up when compared to competitors Apple and Google. Ultimately, Microsoft simply can’t afford to isolate itself from its mobile hardware partners while revealing that it could create its own Windows Phone device.

Well, it doesn’t mean that Microsoft will never do it. It administered to keep the Surface wrapped up very strongly before its launch, so it is quite obvious that the tech giant still have the ability to pull off some breaking news. Perhaps, it can be a clever way of striking the fact that the company might take over struggling Nokia and get its own handset business that way.

In fact, it would be sensible move at the moment, because Nokia mostly relied on its homegrown Symbian Operating System as well as Meego in favor of the Windows Phone platform, and the Finish Company is presently in a very terrible condition. Acquiring Nokia will ultimately benefit Microsoft, as it will get a terrific financial deal such as talented workforce, intellectual property and patents as well.
