Instructions

  • 1

    Clean and Ready

Take a few minutes to properly wash and clean your hands and the entire work area that you will be using to prepare your corn on the cob. Also, wash the utensils, ingredients and other items that will be needed to complete this recipe. Always keep your work surface clean and free of clutter so that you can find what you are looking for while cooking.

If the ears of corn have not yet been removed from the husk, go ahead and remove the husk. If you would like to wash the corn, you can rinse it under the tap and let it sit to dry.

    Paper Towel

Wet a paper towel under that tap and wring it to remove excess water. Wrap the moist paper towel around an ear of corn and place it on a plate. For best results, corn should be wrapped and prepared one at a time. Also, depending on the size of your microwave, you will only have enough room to make one ear of corn at a time.

    Microwave

Place the ear of corn in the microwave and cook on high for 5 minutes. Carefully remove the plate from the microwave and remove the hot paper towel from the corn. Watch your hands while removing the hot paper towel as there will be considerable  steam which can possibly injure or burn your fingers.
