How to Ride a Bicycle Backwards

You need to have a BMX bike to perform mesmerizing stunts because it contains the shocks that can handle pressure and absorb twists very easily. It is constructed for such purposes so you will not face any injury due to the lack of bike’s response to your commands. However, the dangerous stunts can be lethal anyway because they are not easy to perform and only professionals can do them safely. If you want to play with your life and are not risk averse, you can try your luck and do something that will amaze your colleagues. You don’t need to have any special skill but you need to have confidence and talent to control the bike in different dangerous scenarios.

    Buy a BMX bike and start riding it but at a very slow pace. You can’t speed up and at the same time drive it backwards. It is like playing with your life at a risk of 100% loss. You need to just take it slow at the start; at max a couple of strides per second.

    Take few strides by sitting flat on the seat and then stand up but don’t change the pace of the ride. Keep it going for almost 10 seconds so that your bike gathers some momentum which will be required to keep it running while you change your grip and position in the meantime.

    Find the top bar of the BMX bike. Place your strong foot on it. Your strong foot is the one that you use for playing several games like football players either are right-footed or left-footed; rarely are any players who can use both feet with similar accuracy. If you write with a right-hand, you are probably right-footed as well. Don’t change the handle at the moment so the bike is balanced properly.

    Now, put the other foot on the bar next to your strong foot. Don’t leave the handle still and keep the bike running and balance it well.

    Now you need to twist your body at 180 degree angle abruptly. You will have to practice it to do it fast. You will be facing the back of the bike. Now change the grip of the hands as well. The right-hand should be handling the left-side of the handle and vice versa.

    Put the feed on pedal and keep the bike going.
