How to Change Patterns in a Broomstick Bass

Broomstick Bass is one of the most widely used virtual studio technology instruments which can be used to create different compositions, chord progressions and bass riffs which can be used to complement other VST software or audio sounds.

If you are using the broomstick bass in your computer, you can easily compose your own bass riffs. In addition, you can make different changes in the patterns according to your requirements by going to its library which has the tools to make music more organic. It is not very difficult to make the changes in the patterns in Broomstick Bass as you just have to follow a simple procedure mentioned in the given steps.

    First of all, you have to open the VST host on your computer. Then, load the Broomstick Bass in the programme which you opened. You can use the reference of your VST host help file, if you are unable to load the instruments.

    After that, you have to set the Broomstick file in your VST host in order to output the MIDI. Then, set the MIDI to channel ‘1’.

    Now, click on the ‘Auto’ button which is given in the centre of the Broomstick Bass window. The button will be green in colour. It is very important for you to click on this button before taking any step further. You will not be able to make the required changes in the patterns, if you don’t  follow the steps in sequence.

    After clicking on the ‘Auto’ button, you have to click on the ‘Reference’ tab which is given in the menu bar of the Broomstick Bass. When you will click on the ‘Reference’ tab, you will see many options on your screen. Select the ‘Style’ option and then click on the key variation which you want to change.

    If you want to make the changes in the patterns, you can use the ‘Edit’ tab from which you can select ‘Master Tuning, “Pitch Bend” or “Velocity Offset” option in order to make the necessary changes in your composition.
