How to Make a Nightcap Cocktail

Nightcap Cocktail is very refreshing and has a great taste, somewhat fruity but not very sweet. Nightcap cocktail is very easy to remember as it is prepared by mixing equal quantity of brandy, anisette, Curacao liqueur and the yellow portion of an egg (yolk).

You have the option to replace the Curacao liqueur with any other anise liqueur. Nightcap Cocktail is wonderful drink for warm weather and it is quite strong as well. You can make this cocktail on various occasions as it is flavorful and has its unique signature taste and texture. However, it is perfect option for night get-togethers and parties as it is an alcoholic drink and best served before going to bed. Traditional Nightcap cocktails are cream-based liqueur, containing bourbon or Irish cream.

This recipe takes just three minutes to prepare and makes only one drink.

Utensils: Cocktail Shaker, Cocktail Glass

Ingredients:

– 1 ounce brandy
– 1 ounce anisette or another anise liqueur
– 1 ounce curacao liqueur
– 1 egg yolk
– Ice cubes
– Fresh cranberry or lemon slice for garnishing – optional

    Nightcap Cocktail is best served in chilled cocktail glass therefore; make sure to put any of your favorite cocktail glass in your refrigerator to chill properly.

    Meanwhile, pick a cocktail shaker and place it on your kitchen table. Now, pour 1 ounce of brandy, 1 ounce of anisette or another anise liqueur, and the yolk of one egg into the cocktail shaker.

    Now, seal your cocktail shaker properly and shake it thoroughly for 10 to 15 seconds until all ingredients combine well.

    Take out the cocktail glass from refrigerator and place some ice cubes in it in order to make your drink more refreshing.

    Pour the Nightcap Cocktail into the cocktail glass and garnish it with fresh cranberry or lemon slice.
