The drink is made with the help of lemon juice, lemon, grenadine and applejack and is listed in top six classic drinks by David Embusry in his classic cocktail book called “The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks”.

There are too many stories related to this drink. Some people relate this drink with pink rose called “Jacquemot” and is named after that drink while the others state that the drink is named after a gambler called Bald Jack Rose. It is also mentioned on some places that the drink itself was invented by a restaurateur in New Jersey called Joseph P. Rose but the most lodical theory about the name is actually its ingredients. Ingredients Required for This Recipe

– Two and half oz. of applejack
– 3/4 oz of fresh squeezed lemon juice
– Lemon twist required for garnishing
– Grenadine just for taste
– Ice cubes as required

    Take a cocktail shaker or a normal shaker and add ice cubes, applejack, lemon juice and grenadine in it and turn on the shaker.
