History
The Ideal Home show got its start in 1908 by a newspaper and Daily Mail. The exhibition was intended to promote the newspaper and give masses an insight into a modern style of living. People were enthralled at the sight of hundreds of well decorated buildings, and had their first idea of luxury living. In 1920's and 1930’s, various home products were created as a result of technological advancement, and made their way to the show. The popularity of the show kept growing during the decades from 40's till 60's and various new features were also introduced. In 1997, a rainforest was exhibited and in 2009, the show was sold by Daily Mail to Media 10 which is continuing the legacy till date. -
