Privy Council Office London
The mechanism to reach an interdepartmental agreement on items related to government business, which due to some reasons fall in the ministry of Privy Council is known as the Privy Council. The Privy Council Office therefore provides managerial and secretariat to the Lord President of the Council, while Clerk of the Privy Council acts as the head of this Office. The Lord President looks over number of Statutory Orders related to veterinary, health care, and Scottish Higher Education. Plus answering parliamentary questions about Privy Council Business and handling ministerial correspondence, such as the selection of High Sheriffs is also a part of Lord President’s duty.
