A major writing theater of London, Soho Theatre, is located in the creative heart of London. Providing just entertainment is not the only responsibility of Soho Theatre since they also have a writers’ development organization where new talented writers are given a chance to acquire national significance and support so that they can take a step into script writing for theater, film or TV. Varieties of thrilling performances are organized at the theater that include also stand-up comedies and cabaret programs.     History:

    Verity Bargate and Fred Proud initialized a company by the name of Soho Theater in 1969. In the beginning, the location of the company was Old Compton Street, but it was later changed many times. The theater was shifted to the Dean Street in 2000 and it contains approximately 100 seats in the small performance bar, and 140 seats in the auditorium. Besides the availability of entertainment facility, a bar is also available within the venue where delicious food is served. Currently director of the theater is Steve Marmion whereas Mark Godfrey is working as the Executive Director.

    Things to do at Soho Theatre:

    -  Every week there is a special performance organized for arts admirer in which fantastic actors deliver their dialogues written by some amazing writers.

    - If you think you have a hidden talent for acting then become a part of the theater and chase your dream to learn something useful.

    - Become a member of the writer’s development organization where emerging writers are granted support.

    - A bar is also available at the theater, before the show or after the performance you can order your favorite drink or have something nice to eat.

    Operational Hours:

    Form Monday till Friday, the box office remains open and you can contact between 9:30 am till 10:00 pm. The bar remains open six days a week from 9:30 am till 1:00 am. If you intend to contact the registration office then plan your visit between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm from Monday till Friday.

    How to Reach Soho Theatre:

    By Tube:

    Tottenhum Court Rd Station is 0.3 miles away from the theater and you will have to walk for 5 minutes in order to cover the required distance. From the tube station, head west on Oxford St/A40 towards Hanway St. and then turn left onto Soho St. After covering 240 feet, turn right onto Soho Square and then from the Carlisle St., take the last left turn onto Dean St. and you will reach your destination.     By Bus:

    Bloomsbury, Oxford Street Soho Street (Stop YB) is 0. 2 miles away from Soho theater and you will have to walk for 3 minutes in order to cover the required distance. Take route number 7, 8, 10, 25, 55, 73, 98, 390, N7, N8, N55, N73, N98 or N207 to get dropped at Bloomsbury, Oxford Street Soho Street (Stop YB). From the stop, head west on Oxford St/A40 towards Soho St. and then turn left onto Soho St. After covering 240 feet, turn right onto Soho Square and then take a left onto Dean St. where the theater is located.
