History of Horniman Museum & Gardens:
Horniman Museum & Gardens was established by a businessman called Frederick John Horniman, who had a great tea trading business in 1901. Frederick John Horniman used the money from his tea business for this museum, as with the help of the cash he was able to collect about 30,000 items which include musical instruments and artefacts amongst others. Later in 1911, Frederick Horniman’s son gave away additional building as donation. -
