History of Victoria and Albert Museum:

Victoria and Albert Museum was developed in 1852. However, this museum was renamed as Victoria and Albert Museum in 1899 during the foundation stone laying ceremony on left side of the main entry point of the Aston Webb building. Queen Victoria was guest of honour in that ceremony and it was also her last official communal appearance. Later during 1900 and 1950, this museum saw various extensions, but the major change was witnessed in 1980s. It was a time when the name of this museum was changed once again to 'The Victoria and Albert Museum, the National Museum of Art and Design' by Sir Roy Strong.
