History of The Albany Arts Centre
The Albany Arts Centre was formed in 1899 to encourage the poverty stricken Deptford community and improve their living standards. The decade of 70s witnessed the arts centre hosting theatrical and musical performances till it was destroyed by a fire in 1978. The arts centre was then opened again by Diana, Princess of Wales in 1982. -

By Overground station
The nearest overground station is New Cross Overground station. It is 0.3 miles away and this distance can be covered in 5 minutes on foot.
