How to Implement the Uberman Sleep Schedule

One problem that most people seem to have, is when they go to sleep, they tend to sleep for far too long. This proves to be rather annoying to most, who feel that they just end up wasting more time than they should while they are asleep.

Most people have tried to look for alternatives for this, and the Uberman sleep schedule is just what these people need in order for them to manage the amount of time that they sleep for and still be fresh for the whole day.

The sleep schedule sees people sleep in smaller chunks which are divided all over the day, as opposed to them sleeping for eight or more hours at a stretch in the night.

Now it is no easy task to adjust and get used to this sleep cycle, which is why you need to put in a lot of effort to implement this.

Instructions

  • 1

    Dedicate time

The first step is for you to go on and dedicate some time in order for your body to get used to the sleep cycle. Initially your body is going to go on and try and avoid following the pattern. This is why you need to try and make sure that you have a good two or three weeks on your hand, during which period your body will adapt and get used to this routine.

  • 2

    Use multiple alarms

Now once you fall asleep, your body is going to try and urge you to maintain its sleep cycle. This is why you need to make sure that you have a fool proof way of waking up, once you do fall asleep.

This is open for interpretation, but a smart way to go about this, would be to set up a number of alarms. Try and set up like three to four alarms, this way even if you do fail to wake up on one or two of the alarms, the third or fourth one would do the trick.

    Support group/ progress chart

You also need to either get a few people in your plans, since they are going to be there to help you out during this period, or you need to make a progress chart, so you can track your progress.

Both of these methods are going to end up helping you quite a bit, so make sure that whatever you do, you do it properly.
