How to Make Tempeh Bacon

Ingredients:
Bragg’s liquid aminos: 2 tablespoons
Tamari: 2 tablespoons
Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
Apple cider vinegar: 1/3 cup
Tomato paste: 1 teaspoon
Liquid smoke: 1/4 teaspoon
Tempeh: 1 kg
Garlic cloves, crushed: 2
Peanut oil: 2 tablespoons
Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons

    First thing you need to do is to wash all the utensils so that there is no probability of dirt and germs.

    Take a large mixing bowl and put bragg liquid aminos, tomato paste, apple cider vinegar and liquid smoke in it. Use a fork to combine all the ingredients. Keep them mixing until the paste is smooth. Set aside and move on to prepare other things.

    Place your tempeh on the board and cut into strips lengthwise. Make sure that your slices are not thick otherwise they won’t be crispy.

    Now you will rub the tempeh with crushed garlic before adding garlic cloves to the marinade. Put the strips into marinade and set aside for at least one hour. Remember, the more you marinate the more rich the taste will be. Throw the garlic away after marinating and cook the strips.

    Cook the tempeh strips for 4 minutes or until they change their colour to brown. Add the remaining marinade and cook until strips are dry. Serve them after garnishing.
