Instructions

  • 1

    Do Not Trust Them

Once you are aware that someone is lying and has been deceiving you, know that there is not much use of trusting that person with something important in future. The person who lies kills his or her trust. If you trust them again particularly in similar matters, then the joke is on you.

  • 2

    Keep Distance

In certain cases, it may not be eliminating the relationship altogether but you can limit your meetings and interact as little as possible. Such a person is not worth wasting your time on and the more you stay away, the better. There is no real need to be overenthusiastic when you see this person.

    Do Not Confront Directly

Avoid telling the person that he or she is a liar directly as this can lead to further problems. Keep your distance and try to not communicate much about the matter unless it is absolutely imperative. If you do so, maintain respect no matter how angry you are and let the person know in this case that you have been hurt and the trust has been gone. By getting aggressive, you can end up into a full blown physical fight that will not help matters in any way.

  • 4

    Help them

Ask them to get rid of the habit that is a cause of embarrassment when people come to know that the person is nothing more than a liar. Ask them to stop the habit and seek help if they are unable to control this habit. It is a way to help them and the best possible way to confront them if you deal with one who cannot stop lying.
