It is really convenient to have rack rail on the roof of your vehicle. It adds an extra utility to your vehicle and can easily carry more stuff on it safely. It is not very difficult to install the roof rack rails. All you need is few tools and accessories to get the job done.

– Stepladder
– 1/4-inch ratchet
– Torx-head socket set

First of all, you have to put the step ladder on one side of your vehicle so you can easily access the roof of your vehicle to proceed.

Then, you have to place one side of the rail on the roof of your car. You should know that there are many panels on the factory roof of your car which you can easily remove to install the rack. You cannot install the rack until or unless you remove the panels from the roof of your car.

Now, take the ratchet, factory hardware and torx-head sockets so as to put the bolts on the roof rack rails. After that, repeat the same procedure so as to install the rail on the other side of the roof.

Then, you have to push the rack rails on the respective tracks on the roof after moving the stepladder to the back of your vehicle. You must know that there is a handle on every side of the rack which you can easily open in order to slide the rails. It is very important for you to use the handles as it makes the process simple and easy.

Make sure that the roof rack rails are in the right position. If there is a need to make any kind of adjustment, you should make the adjustments right away.

After making all the necessary adjustments, you have to tighten the bolts so as to complete the process of installing the roof rack rails.

Now, check hold the rack strongly with both your hands and try to push or pull them to assess whether they are installed firmly or not. They should not be moving even a little bit. If there is even a slight play, tighten them immediately.
