How to Darken Jeans at Home
You do not have to throw away your old jeans if you want a darker one. You can always dye the light coloured ones to a darker contrast at home. The process is simple and will also not take a lot of your time. You just need to wash and dry the jeans that you desire to colour. Place the jeans in the tub where you have prepared the dye for some time. After the required time, rinse and wash the jeans to see the difference.

Wash and dry the jeans first
First of all, wash the jeans you are willing to dry. Place it in the washing machine with the detergent but make sure that you do not pour the fabric softener in it. When you have finished washing, dry the jeans for two or three minutes. -

Prepare a dye in a separate tub
While the jeans are being washed, you need to prepare the dye in a separate tub. Choose the desired colour you want your jeans to be and prepare the dye. Follow the instructions on the box and make sure you add the correct quantities. -

Place the jeans in the tub
Once the jeans are dry, place them in the tub where the dye has been prepared. Make sure you fully dip the jeans in the water and leave them in the tub for a considerable amount of time. -

Rinse the jeans with cold water
After the required time has elapsed, remove the jeans from the tub and rinse them with cold water. Make sure you continue to rinse them until all the coloured water is removed from the jeans. If there is some dye still left in the jeans, they would not give the desired colour when washed again. -

Wash and dry
Once all the coloured dye is removed, wash the jeans again in the washing machine with cold water. Follow the same process of adding detergent and no fabric softener. Dry the jeans and see the difference for yourself. Let the jeans completely dry before you put them on as you will get a complete idea of what the colour is like.
