    Don’t Make a Splash

If you are going to make a grand entry into the water, you are likely going to spook the fish away. This may sound strange but if your boat with an engine is travelling too fast or you are paddling to hard and making big splashes in the water, you will certainly drive the fish away as they will be disturbed. It is best that you paddle light or keep the engine at a low speed when looking to fish.

    The Sound

If your boat is waking up the dead, you are probably not going to be catching much fish. If you did not get the memo, noise pollution doesn’t only bother humans but other creatures as well, fish included. It is important that your ride into the water makes minimal sound and does not disturb the fish to the point that they move away. A lighter yet stable boat that can move without making a rumpus will be ideal.

    Avoid Solid Colours

Now this may sound strange but it is true. Bright colours may spook away the fish for reasons known to them. Fishermen have observed that fish tend to stay away when they wear bright clothes. At occasions that wear dull colours, the fish do not seem to mind.  So make sure that you wear something that does not cause an alarm to the fish as you will probably be coming back empty handed.

Also make sure that you do not have any reflective jewelry or a boat that reflects the sunlight too much as it can do the same thing. These must be taken care of to have a good fishing trip.
