– A large metal wire basket or cage
– 2 long sticks –longer then the stone’s size
– A short stick
– Bait

Instructions

  • 1

Take your time and find out where you are going to put up a Raccoon Trap. Select a spot that is well-used or frequently visited by the naughty Raccoons.

  • 2

Pick one of the long sticks; place the selected bait on its one end and set aside.

  • 3

Get hold of the wire basket and set its bottom in the upward direction, with one of its ends off the ground surface at an angle of just about 45-degrees. Now prop the remaining long stick underneath the front edge of the wire basket.

  • 4

Put the large stone right on top of the balanced basket in order to serve as a trapping weight.

  • 5

Place the wire basket about two to three inches down the trigger stick, the one with a bait attached to its tip.  Make sure that the basket rests right below the point that second long stick is inserted to support the overall weight of the stone and the basket.

  • 6

Now lay the short stick at around the same angle as you previously placed the longer support stick above the bait on the long trigger stick.

  • 7

The weight of the wire basket and the large stone is nicely eased into right place and your homemade Raccoon Trap is all set for action.
