World Listening Day Overview
The National Listening Day is observed in most of the American States where people are encouraged to spare some time to listen to and record the stories, memories, experiences related to their family, friends and other community members. The National Listening Day was first observed in 2008 where many Americans were interviewed including former President of USA George W Bush and his wife Laura. Anyone can conduct an interview of any American and there is no restriction on it. You can find hundreds of interview samples online and offline in book stores.

History
The National Listening Day was first started in 2008 by the national history oral project called StoryCorps. Initially, this day was a proposal to replace Black Friday, a day which marks high volume of business every year. On the first National Day of Listening George W Bush and his wife Laura were interviewed by Bush’s sister in law Dorothy Bush Koch. -
