How to Get Into the Pits at AMA Supercross

AMA Supercross Championship is an annual motorcycle racing event, mainly held at dirt tracks built in football and baseball stadiums. However, one of the contests in the championship is held at Daytona International Speedway which is a major motorsport venue. If you are an AMA Supercross fan, you may want to get into the pits. Of course you can not just walk right into the pits. You will have to purchase the necessary tickets and pit passes before you will be allowed entry to the pits in an AMA Supercross contest.

    Visit a Ticketmaster location or a venue box office and purchase tickets ahead of time. Without a ticket, you not be allowed entry into the pits because you would not be allotted a pit pass.

    Remember to ask for any applicable discounts before paying for pit passes. Each pit pass should cost around $10. However, you may be able to save some money if a discount is being offered on pit passes. Moreover, you should consider purchasing both the ticket and pit pass at the same time.

    Although the scheduled start time of Supercross program is 7:30 p.m., the pits open as early as 12:30 p.m. You would want to get to the pits as early as possible to avoid the crowd. This way you will also be able to get more autographs of the stars you admire. Purchasing the pit pass would be a lot easier if you have not already purchased one since you would not have to wait in a long queue. Moreover, you will be able to observe your favourite players for a longer period of time.

    After you have bought your pit pass, you will be allowed to watch professionals practising in the pits. You will get to learn a lot about motorcycling by observing professional motorcyclists as they practice. You can also get a feel of how the race would go when it does start that evening.

    Consider bringing along a few pens and markers. Although you will be provided with autograph material such as posters and hats by the motorcycling team that you are supporting, yet you would want to have your own pens and markers to save time.
