Difference between LG Optimus G Pro and HTC Droid DNA

HTC Droid DNA and LG Optimus G Pro are two recent Android powered phablets launched by HTC and LG Electronics, respectively. One might think that what a phablet is. It is basically a mixture of a Smartphone and a tablet computer. Means, you can use the device as a phone, as well as a tablet computer.

Both HTC Droid DNA and LG Optimus G Pro are currently being considered as two great devices. However, you do not need to buy both of them. In fact, just know the differences and make your decision accordingly.

When it comes to display, HTC Droid DNA has a smaller screen with 5-inch size, compared to that of 5.5 inch display in LG Optimus G Pro. However, HTC Droid DNA was the first phablet that features full HD display with 1920 by 1080 pixels resolution. Droid DNA has a PPI ratio of 441, due to the laminated Super LCD 3 display installed in the device.

In the meantime, LG Optimus G Pro’s display also runs at 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution, but it features True HD IPS+ display. The PPI ratio is 401, which is comparatively less than that in Droid DNA. The pixel density in Optimus Pro G is a bit lower than that of Droid DNA. So, The Droid DNA scores more when it comes to quality, and Optimus G Pro scores more when it comes to size of the display screen.

When it comes to comparing both devices for their primary camera, LG Optimus G Pro takes the lead, as it features 13 MP camera, which is quite better than that of 8 MP camera installed in HTC Droid DNA. Both sets have LED flash light available along with their primary cameras. When comparing their front cameras, both feature 2.1 MP cameras.

HTC Droid comes with a 16 GB internal memory. However, it does not have external memory slot available, which prevents the user to extent its memory. On the other hand, LG Optimus G Pro is better in this category as well, as it features an external memory slot, as well as 32 GB internal memory.

When it comes to comparing their processors, LG Optimus G Pro again go ahead, by having Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset installed, while Droid DNA has features Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, which is around 40 slower than Snapdragon 600.
