First of all, you need to bring cheese out of its plastic wrapper. If it is not easy to cut, you can tear the bag with the knife. Sometimes, the manufacturers wrap the cheese in more than one plastic bag. So, if your cheese is still in its packaging, tear open the bag to expose it.

However, it is never a good idea to bring the cheese completely out of the bag. Keep it inside the plastic wrap, so it does not catch any oil or dust from the cooking counter.

It is the time to use the cheese slicer. Hold the slicer in your right hand and the cheese in the left. If you are a left-hander, you can hold the slicer in the left hand.

Place the slicer on that part of the cheese, which is exposed. The rest of the cheese should stay inside the plastic bag though. After placing the slicer over the exposed part of the cheese, pull it towards you until it reaches the end of the cheese block. This will help you bring one thin slice of the cheese onto the slicer.

In case you need more cheese slices, repeat the same step. Get the desired amount of the cheese by using the slicer time and again.

This is the easiest way of cutting your cheese. If you are looking for even thinner layers of the cheese, don’t press the slicer any hard on the cheese.
