Difference Between Society and Community
Society and community are two terms widely used by social analysts for expressing their observation and findings about social behaviour and working. However, there are a huge number of people who get confused and think that society and community can be used interchangeably. But both of these terms are completely different from each other in many aspects. A society is a larger term and community is just a part of the society. Society is considered as abstract as it has no physical appearance but a community is concrete as it has a physical appearance in the form of individuals. Society is a thread or web of social relationship whereas community is based on individuals. A society does not require any geographical areas whereas a community requires a geographical area to exist. In a society, it is possible that a community sentiment remains absent but it is essential for a community. Society comprises on both elements of aspects including likeliness and differences whereas a community is more concerned with the likeliness. Society:
A society is basically a thread or web in which social relationships are combined together in a way that makes an unseen bond between people irrespective of any geographical area. It consists on all relations that connect humans with other humans all over the world. Society is a term that can be used for whole mankind irrespective the geographical distance of people. There are many similarities and difference in a society because it comprises on individuals who live in all parts of the world. However, these people cannot isolate themselves from the society despite having difference of opinion.

Community:
Community is a term which is basically used for individuals or a group of individuals living in a particular geographical area like Muslim community, Hindu community, Christian community etc. In a community, people develop relationships with each other in a way that helps in getting common goals. In a community, people always follow certain objectives with mutual understanding and support. All people in a community always think in a particular direction for getting their common objective that differentiate them from other communities in the regions. People in a community always hold an identification that makes them prominent. Individuals in a community always show likeliness when it comes to achieve a common target.
