How to Make Gingerbread for the Holidays
Are you going for a holiday and want to make lots of lots gingerbread mans so that your children won’t bother you in every other bakery that they want a gingerbread man? Then at once make several of them and add it to your baggage before you fly. Making gingerbread man is very simple and does not take much time. For decoration you can also your children to help you out. If they do so they will enjoy eating it even more since they have actively participated in making it.

Yield: 2-4 servings
Ingredients:
Flour: 3 cups
Salt: ½ teaspoon
Baking soda: 3/4 teaspoon
Ginger: 2 teaspoons (grounded)
Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon (grounded)
Nutmeg: 1/4 teaspoon (grounded)
Cloves: 1/4 teaspoon (grounded)
Unsalted butter: 1/2 cup
Granulated white sugar: ½ cup
Egg: 1
Molasses: 2/3 cup

To start off with, simply preheat your oven at 250 degrees. Take a bowl and add to it salt, baking soda, spices and flour. Beat them together until they are fully mixed into each other.

Then take out your electric mixture and add butter and sugar to the bowl. Beat them until a smooth texture of the mixture becomes apparent. Once it does add the egg to the mixture and then beat again for 30 seconds.

Then add molasses to the mixture in the bowl of your electric mixer. Beat it further for 30 seconds on a high speed. Further add the mixture of dry ingredients that you made in a separate bowl and add it in 3 additions.

After every addition mix the mixture for 10 seconds each at a high speed. Once you are done with it then simply take two plastic shopping small bags and put half the mixture into one bag and the remaining half in the other. Place the shopping bags in the refrigerator for 6-7 hours.

Meanwhile, take your baking tray and Greece it with butter and sprinkle some flour on it. Take out the dough from the fridge and on a flat surface even out the dough and by using gingerbread shapes cut the dough into cookies.

Place all the cookies on the baking tray and put it inside the oven. Allow them to bake for 10 minutes. Take them out when they start to take a brown color and are firm in shape.

Allow them to cool down. And then by placing them in an air tight jar you can store them for about 30 days. Enjoy your holidays with these lovely gingerbread cookies.
