How to Soothe Red Skin

Many skin problems can give birth to facial redness, which causes great discomfort. The most common causes of red skin include skin allergies, dry skin, rosacea, acne, eczema and sunburn etc. However, you can get quick relief from it with the help of several topical solutions, which are easy to make and apply. Additionally, these remedies are cost effective as well where you do not have to go to any dermatologist or skin specialist.

Things you will need to soothe red skin
– Aloe Vera Gel
– Honey
– Calamine lotion
– Cotton balls
– Cotton Pads
– Water
– Rose essential oil
– Neroli essential oil
– Olive Oil

    Apply aloe Vera to your red skin

    Dip clean cotton balls into a room temperature water and clean your red skin with it. Take a tissue paper and wipe the affected area of your skin. Squeeze small quantity of aloe Vera gel into your finger tip and gently apply it to the red skin. Leave it for some time until the aloe Vera absorbs into your skin thoroughly.

    Apply Calamine lotion to your red skin

    Apply some Calamine lotion to a clean cotton pad or cotton ball and place it on the affected area, pressing each dose with great care until whole red skin is covered with the lotion. Leave it for some time until the lotion soaks into your skin. Wash with mild water.

    Note: Make sure to shake the Calamine lotion well before using it.

    Apply Honey to your red skin

    Wash the affected area of your skin with mild water and then wipe it with a tissue paper or cotton pad. Now, dip a cotton ball into honey and apply it generously to your red skin. Let the honey sit on your red skin for approximately 25 to 30 minutes. Rinse the honey off with cold or mild water.

    Note: Do not use honey if the redness in your skin is because of the ultraviolet ray (sunburn).

    Apply oil-mixture to your red skin

    Take small bottle and pour in ½ teaspoon of rose essential oil, ½ teaspoon neroli essential oil and 10 teaspoon of olive oil. Seal the small bottle thoroughly and shake for few minutes until the three oils mix into one another. Strain the oil-mixture into a disposable plate or bowel and dip a cotton ball into it, allowing it to soak for around one minute. Now, gently dab the soaked cotton ball onto your red skin. Let the oil-mixture sit on the affected area for approximately 15 minutes. Wash your skin with tepid water and feel the difference.
