How to Modify a Filter in Fireworks
Adobe Fireworks CS3 is one of many computer programmes developed and launched by Adobe Systems Incorporated. It was formerly known as Macromedia Fireworks and is used for editing bitmap and vector graphics. The main purpose of developing Adobe Fireworks CS3 was to make it easier for web designers to create website prototypes and application interfaces quickly and easily. To make it more convenient, a number of filters were added by default in the programme. If you ever find yourself in need of modifying a pre-applied filter in a Fireworks document, here is what you will have to do.
Instructions
-
1
Launch a new session of Adobe Fireworks CS3 and wait momentarily for the programme to load completely which should require no more than a few seconds.
-
2
Click ‘Open’ under the ‘File’ menu and navigate to the location of a Fireworks document. The file you choose should have a filter so that you can modify the filter.
-
3
Select one or more object in the Fireworks document to which the filter which the filter you are planning to modify has already been applied. One you have made you selection, Adobe Fireworks CS3 will pop up the ‘Filters’ section of the Properties inspector.
-
4
From the list of ‘Filters’ in the window that popped up on your screen, click on the button labeled ‘info’ which should be located right in front of the pre-applied filter that you want to modify. The button which you need to click is simply a small blue circle with the letter ‘i’ inside it. Adobe Fireworks CS3 will pop up another dialogue box. This is where you can make changes to the filter. If however, the dialogue box does not pop up, it means that you can modify that particular filter.
-
5
Make changes to the filter from the dialogue box as desired.
-
6
One you have made all the desired changes, click on a blank spot inside the Fireworks document. This will automatically apply all the changes you made to the filter and close the dialogue box.
-
7
You can modify as many filters as you want using this method. Also, if you want to make more changes to the filter which you just modified, you can simply repeat steps 1 through 6 once again.
