A Day at Twin Lakes Academy Middle

Twin Lakes Academy Middle is one of the newest schools in Duval County, it was established in 1998. I first came to Twin Lakes in 2004, under the leadership of our former female principal. At first Twin Lakes was so fun, we had lots of field trips, many elective classes, five class periods in a day, we were able to eat in class, etc. Later on in the year we got a new male principal, he’s a nice person and he can relate to the students. But ever since our new Principal came, we have one field trip a year, fewer elective classes, six periods in a day, we can’t eat in class, and we there will be no Home Economics class for next school year. Most of the teachers and staff members at Twin Lakes are nice and supportive, the class work is so easy; and we never have homework. Twin Lakes obviously doesn’t have much money because we always have fundraisers and are electives were cut.. Twin Lakes is one of the few schools that don’t have a cheerleading squad and a student council. Many of the students at Twin Lakes hate the teachers, the work, and the all around school; students especially hate our principal. I think that the teachers and administration are okay. I wouldn’t want to go to any other school but Twin Lakes.
