A Dumpling Thanksgiving: Quick Breakfast Ideas

Here are some delicious breakfast menu ideas for yummy dumplings and wontons. Thanksgiving is a valuable and precious time to enjoy with family and friends. Your guests may come early to help prepare the thanksgiving feast, so the following recipes will surely hold everyone’s appetite over until the turkey is ready to be served.

Prepare three bowls to mix your ingredients for the individually themed dumpling batches.

Baked Fruit Dumplings

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Apple, diced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 tsp applesauce
  • 2 tsp honey

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Mix the diced apple pieces, blueberries, apple sauce and honey in a bowl. Place a spoonful of the mixture at the center of the wonton wraps. Wet the edges and fold over one another to seal the wontons shut. Throw the wraps into the water pot for three minutes, before transferring them onto a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.


Boiled Ham and Cheese Wontons

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Four slices smoked bacon, thinly sliced
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • Ã?¼ cup milk
  • Ã?½ cup of Cheddar cheese
  • Ã?½ Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • Ã?½ Green Bell Pepper, diced
  • Ã?½ tablespoon garlic powder
  • Ã?½ tablespoon onion powder
  • Ã?½ tablespoon salt
  • Ã?½ tablespoon pepper
  • Sriracha for extra spice (optional)

Beat eggs in a separate bowl. Add milk, bell peppers, garlic pepper, onion powder and a splash of Sriracha sauce. Cook bacon until crispy brown on a skillet. Remove, and when cooled off, crumble the bacon into the mixture. Place a spoonful at the center of the wonton wraps. Wet the edges and fold over one another to seal the wonton shut. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and throw wontons in for 5 minutes. Remove and serve.


Egg Guacamole Wontons

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Avocado
  • Cilantro
  • Ã?½ cup of Black beans
  • 1 Tomato diced
  • Garlic salt
  • Ã?¼ cup of Cheddar cheese
  • Sriracha for extra spice (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Sprinkle cheddar cheese onto wonton wraps. Shape wraps to fit into the grease muffin tins and bake for 5 minutes. Make some scrambled eggs mixed with black beans in a skillet over medium heat. Remove. Mix avocado, diced tomatoes, garlic salt and cilantro. Fill the baked wonton wraps with scrambled eggs/black beans and top with the guacamole mixture on top. For extra spiciness, add a Sriracha sauce.
