GRG (Glass Reinforced Gypsum), GRP (Glass Reinforced Polymer), plywood, aluminum and stainless steel and stone.
– GRG (Glass reinforced gypsum) Gypsum is a very soft, fire resistant mineral composed of calcium sulfate dihydrate combined with a formula CaSO42H20. – GRP (Glass reinforced polymer) A polymer is large molecule that consists of repeating structural units that are connected by covalent chemical bonds. This type of column is a great and best used for outdoors, harsh weather, and around coastal regions.
– Plywood casings are extremely strong but light weight, and are easy to maintain once it has been coated with a good finish. They are designed to last a while.
– Aluminum and Stainless steel. These column casings are strong durable and mostly used in schools, hospitals and restaurants due to its usefulness of sanitization.
All column casings range from all different shapes and sizes and can be made out of wood, steel, and aluminum. When designing your casing you will need to determine what type of casing whether you want whether it’s a standard circle, square or rectangular. After you have made your final decision of the type and shape, you will want to consider the size. You can go as big or as small as you like.
