Entertainment in Port Deposit includes the annual American Power Boat Association’s Inboard Race, an annual Candlelight Tour, the annual Spring Thing, the annual Poker Run and Crab Fest, and a Blue Grass Festival. In addition, the Port Deposit Branch of the Cecil County Public Library offers a variety or programs for children and adults.
For families wanting to move to the Port Deposit area, there are several schooling options. Bainbridge Elementary School, the zone elementary school for the area, has a caring and supportive staff that genuinely cares for the students. Light House Christian Academy is a local private school with a good reputation, as does Good Shepherd Catholic School. Rising Sun High School and Perryville High School both serve Port Deposit’s older children.
