A Merry Christmas Day

Eyes filled with wonder, too excited to sleep.
They’re waiting up to hear the reindeers’ hoof beats.
Wondering when Santa will arrive,
Rudolph’s red nose lighting up the sky.
The children’s happiness can’t be ignored
And in the morning there will be new toys to explore.

A Christmas joy, we hope it will last.
Jingle bells ringing as sleighs pass.
Happy Holiday wishes to everyone we say,

The table is covered, there’s so much to eat.
We all sit back, and tap our feet
As the children put on their yearly show,
If it doesn’t makes sense, they’ll never know.
It’s a tradition we pass down to young from old
And memories are shared, that each of us hold.
