A) Asylum Hill..Aetna Insurance Company and the Hartford Insurance Group are located here. Many good rental units are available here.
B) Barry Square..Trinity College is located here. A mix of residential and limited commercial properties. Many good rental units are available here. Recommended.
C) Behind The Rocks..Named for the rocks that border the edge of Trinity College, this neighborhood is mostly residential, with some limited commercial uses. Many good rental units are available here. Recommended.
D) Blue Hills..The University of Hartford is partially- located in this neighborhood. Mount Sinai Hospital is also here. A largely residential area, with well- maintained homes. Quite a few good rental units are available here. Recommended.
E) Clay Arsenal..Industrial and mixed- use commercial area. Very few good rental units available.
F) Downtown..Many new high- rise rental units opening in 2006. Limited number of units available. Demand is high. Available units are pricey. Limited number of ‘sleeping room only’ units available at smaller hotels. Some of the larger hotels offer long- term rates. Recommended.
G) Frog Hollow..Anchored by Park Street, a lively and colorful commercial district. Home to one of the largest Hispanic communities in the area. Some good rental units are available.
H) Northeast..Many well- maintained homes are located in this neighborhood. A few good rental units are available.
I) North Meadows..The Meadows/ Dodge Music Theater is located here. This is a largely industrial area, with very few good rental units available.
J) Parkville..A largely Portuguese- American neighborhood, with many varied apartments, condos and houses for rent. Great restaurants, churches, bakeries and nightlife nearby. Recommended.
K) Sheldon/ Charter Oak..A largely industrial area, with churches and various institutions located there. Very few good rental units available there.
L) South Green..Hartford Hospital and the Ct Children’s Medical Center are located in this Hartford, Ct neighborhood. Nice condos and apartments in the Congress St area. Some good rental units are available.
M) South Meadows..Largely an industrial area, with some commercial businesses. Brainard Airport, local recycling facilities and the Regional Market, a huge wholesale and retail produce facility. Very few good rental units are available in this neighborhood.
N) South End..A multi- cultural neighborhood, with many restaurants located there. Many, many good rental units are available there. All price ranges. Recommended.
O) Southwest..Generally a very stable and quiet part of the city. This neighborhood is primarily residential. Some very good rental units are available there. Recommended.
Q) Upper Albany.. A largely commercial area with very few good rental units available.
R) Bordering the suburb of West Hartford, this Hartford, Ct neighborhood is a mix of residential, commercial and rental units. Very many good rental units are available there.
