A Short Biography of Dolce and Gabbana
Stefano Gabbana was born in Polizzi Generosa Italy in September of 1958. His partner Domencio Dolce was born in November of 1962 in the town of Venice Italy. Domencio Dolce was a fashion design student in Sicily and gained quite a bit of experience by working in several of his parents business ventures. Stefano Gabbana went a somewhat different route as a graphic design student who gained his fashion experience through being an assistant to an atelier in Milan.
Dolce and Gabbana crossed paths in 1980 while both were working for the same atelier. When the pair began to do freelance design work around 1982 they also officially began their working relationship. around 1986 is when the first Dolce and Gabbana collection was shown to the world. The very successful collection of clothing garnered worldwide acclaim for Dolce and Gabbana who just four years later unleashed their men’s line as well as opening a women’s boutique in Milan.The talented fashion designers quickly became well known for making both women and men look fabulous and have won countless awards over the years.
Dolce and Gabbana is probably one of the most well known fashion labels out there today and in many circles is the top choice for the Hollywood elite to be seen in.
The year 2004 brought to the light that things were not as harmonious as they once were between the designing duo. There is a good news for fans of the label however as both Dolce and Gabbana have stated that they will continue to produce their award winning creations together.
